Kyoto Ebisu Shrine's Toka Ebisu Grand Festival
"Bring your hands on the prosperous business!"
I went to the New Year's tradition, "Toka Ebisu Daisai (Toka Ebisu)", which is crowded with people in search of the auspicious bamboo grass of business prosperity and family luck.
Kyoto Ebisu Shrine is known as "Kyo no Ebisu". It is one of the three major Ebisu shrines in Japan, along with Nishinomiya Shrine in Hyogo Prefecture and Imamiya Ebisu Shrine in Osaka Prefecture. Nishinomiya Shrine in Hyogo Prefecture is famous for choosing Fukuo in the early morning. "Tokae" may be an event that should be heard nationwide, but I Up and Down many people have seen people start running at the same time as the gate opens.
The gate is open at night, and Ebisu is always busy all night. Although the event has been reduced in some parts, many people were still worshiping today in search of lucky charms such as Fukuzasa and rakes. It is said that the roots of the awarding of Fukusasa are derived from the "ofuda" that was originally awarded at Kyoto Ebisu Shrine. Bamboo is a lucky charm that is also familiar as "Shotake-Ume", but it has become a symbol of Takamasa Ieun and prosperous business because of its characteristics such as "it grows straight at the turning point", "it is elastic and does not break", and "the leaves do not fall and always grow green". It seems that it is. Also, the zodiac votive tablet given every year at Ebisu Shrine in Kyoto is said to be based on the original drawing by Hisaomi Nakagawa, the priest. The votive tablets of the tiger, which are both cute and strong, are lined up.
The outfit I chose this time is the "Fubi Kimono Shirt Haori Hollow Out Rectangular Sleeve Coat Awase" haori, which features a "Hollow Out shoulder Shoulder Tuck" that allows you to see a glimpse of the shoulders. The Textile peeking out from the shoulders, combined with the sleeves tied with the "sodekukuri" style used in court noble costumes, makes me feel like a shrine maiden. This haori is perfect for visiting shrines in the new year.
