"Tea Diary / Hiroko Chiba"
Hi, this is Chiba from Chiba.
The first lesson of the year is a lesson using a bucket!
Nice to meet you, hand bucket. I was told that lacquered buckets are the most prestigious and should be handled with care and precision.
The lid rest was also making its first appearance and was beautifully decorated with the auspicious pattern of pine, bamboo, and plum.
And there was a white mouse hiding in the rice bale-shaped bowl.
White rats are said to be messengers of Daikokuten (the god of fertility), so I used it hoping for an increase in my financial luck.
Surrounded by auspicious items, this is the first practice of the Reiwa era. I'm looking forward to what I'll learn this year.
