"Shichi-Go-San Festival / Mitsuru Yamada"
Following on from the Yamamoto family blog the other day, this will be my second consecutive Shichi-Go-San blog.
It was a fine Sunday in November.
I visited Iwashimizu Hachiman Shrine to receive prayers for my son's Shichigosan pilgrimage.
While the adults around her recommended more subdued colors like black, blue, or gray, the pink haori that she chose of her own volition looked great on her.
It was an emotional day, as I realized that my son, who I thought was just a baby until just a short time ago, has now grown into a young boy.
