SOU・SOU Diary /Staff's Diaries
“My Moon / Honami Nakajima”
Hazuki has arrived, and Kyoto is still in the midst of a humid summer.
It is no exaggeration to say that July in Kyoto is the most exciting month of the year. I feel like
Looking back on the Gion Matsuri period, the SOU•SOU Kyoto branch located near the main Shijo-dori Street is thankfully visited by many people regardless of nationality. It was also crowded with many people.
Of course, we who were itching during work will go to the Gion Festival after work.
At first, I was able to do as I pleased, visiting the floats I wanted to see, but when I headed towards Shijo Karasuma to see the lantern drop at the Kan'yuboko, I found a large group of SOU・SOU staff gathered there.
The link coordination with staff Terada made me feel even more excited!

Summer is the best! It's the moment you realize.
In the second half of July, I was taught how to make and decorate goldfish and cicadas with fukusa on flat water.
It seems that it is a tea ceremony that decorates when using a big water finger and produces coolness.
This was a tea ceremony between Companions friends, something not often seen at regular tea ceremonies, and it created a comfortable atmosphere that was different from regular lessons.
It's been a few years since I started drinking tea, and I was Relax trying to enjoy it, but I was able to receive a certificate of "introductory" and "practice".
It is a tense moment, and I feel refreshed, to be given permission to come into contact with a tradition that has been preserved for 400 years.
I'm going to be more devoted to it, so I'd appreciate it if you could watch it.
You may think that July is over, but August is Obon, Kyoto's Gozan no Okuribi (bonfires) at Gozan, and many other events.
*The Kyoto store is closed on Wednesdays, but will be open on the 16th during the Obon period.
There is also a transfer regular holiday, so please see this page→Fold the hem into third and sew (or roll the hem and sew)We would appreciate it if you could check it out and visit us on the business day.
The warm weather continues in August and September, but please take care of yourself.

Before, I was allowed to take a picture with the "Four Guardian Gods" together, so please take a picture together with "Carp is dragon in" this time♪
By the way, I had a commemorative photo taken with Yu-san wearing the same Yukata ~(^^)
Please be sure to master the way of tea to the "teacher" ♪
