"Tea Diary / Hiroko Chiba"
Hi, this is Chiba from Chiba.
By the way, there are men in the class I attend, and luckily I can also learn men's tea ceremony.
This time we will introduce such a man's tea ceremony.
It seems that there is no difference between men and women depending on the iemoto, but there seems to be a little difference in Omotesenke.
Considering that the body structure is different, the female tea ceremony moves more finely than the male tea ceremony.
First, a ladle!
This is the work before starting the tea ceremony.
Men set them all at once, and women Set one by one.
Next is the fukusa processing.
Since it is assumed that you are wearing Kimono, men hang it under the obi and women hang it above the obi.
There are two movements of dusting in the order of the fukusa handling, and the man makes a sound both times. Women ring only once.
When purifying the tea utensils, the men put in a gesture called Kobuki.
And after all, it's time to put the lid on the pot!
Men use their bare hands, and women use fukusa to place them on the lid holder.
It looks hot~
Then when serving the freshly brewed tea.
The man puts it in one hand, and the woman puts it temporarily and changes the direction of the body before serving.
And only men's work, pull ladle.
This is only done when purifying Tea Whisk before the final tea ceremony.
It's cool
Finally, Tea Scoop.
This is how to purify Tea Scoop before putting it away.
The man handles the fukusa while holding Tea Scoop.
The woman handles the cloth and then purifies Tea Scoop.
And one day, during the practice, I also experienced men's tea ceremony!
It was fun to say the least (⌒▽⌒)
