“Experiencing Japanese Culture / Kazumasa Adachi”
Start with an exaggerated title.
Hello to all of you who are watching word by word. This is adachi from the store staff.
I have been taking tea ceremony lessons since I started working at SOU・SOU, and before I know it, a year has passed. Compared to my seniors, I'm still a kid, and I'm a beginner who can't even talk about the character of the tea ceremony, but there are many things that I can feel in the tea room as a beginner.
In addition to the spirit of hospitality that is included in each movement of the tea ceremony taught by the teacher, there is also a unique Japanese heart, such as the flowers that are arranged that day and the reasons for choosing the scrolls that are hung. It touches my heart every time. You can feel the change of the seasons in the shape and taste of even one sweet that you have with matcha, and it will be an opportunity to remember the four seasons of Japan that you may have overlooked in your busy days.
In this blog, I would like to introduce a little bit of the inside of such a tea ceremony class. Although it is a clumsy way of tea ceremony for beginners, I would appreciate it if you could take a look at the introduction of what I feel in the tea room with a warm eye.
(There may be some points that I do not understand. Please forgive me at this time.)
◇ Mizuya
Here we prepare Tea Ceremony Utensils.
The actions of purifying and arranging the tools are also thought of as an efficient way to proceed and for welcoming guests.
You can't see it, so be prepared.
◇Tea room
Once the utensils are ready, enter the room and make matcha while the teacher teaches you how to prepare the tea.
Even if it's a practice, it's something you offer to people. I get nervous every time.
○ You can see the worn items from the link below. (Some items are sold out. Please understand.)
Samue Worker Jacket Seba Fubi Kimono Collar Shirt Fuji Pants
◇Tokonoma
I enjoy the seasonal flowers and hanging scrolls here. I'm sure the people who prepare it want you to enjoy it.
Camellia flowers are arranged from the end of winter to spring.
It's so modest... When I hear stories like this, I'm also interested in the hanamichi. The things I want to do and the things I want to know are endless! !
(Hanatsutsumi is a place where you can casually enjoy fresh flowers.please check hereFrom!)
Finally, the equipment is carried to Mizuya and the lesson comes to an end.
I Up and Down was able to give you some idea of what a tea room is like. I would be very happy if you were to become even a little interested in the tea ceremony and Japanese culture.
SOU・SOU will continue to create new Japanese culture, but I think it would be even better if I could spend my days cherishing traditional Japanese culture.
That's all for today.
Goodbye!
