`` SO-SU-U'' is written as ``Sosu'' in Japanese. It means 10 numbers from 0 to 9. I'm not talking about "prime numbers" in mathematics.

Mr. Katsuji Wakisaka, who designed this “SO-SU-U”, explains as follows.

Arabic numerals that are used worldwide are very simple,
and transcend nationality, gender and age.
They are very well designed symbols.
and are even cute as shapes,​ ​
People love these popular numbers.
The challenge I experienced with this textile was
since these are symbols you see everywhere,​ ​
how could I transform them into an attractive form?

Encounter with `` SO-SU-U''

When SOU・SOU producer Wakabayashi went to the atelier of Textile designer Wakisaka, he Accidentally to notice this "SO-SU-U" while looking through old design files. "The design of these numbers is unique and cute! I want to make something with it!" Wakabayashi thought to himself, and immediately used the "SO-SU-U "Textile to make samples of bandanas and shirts.

A design that made its debut again

The design for "SO-SU-U" was born in 1995 It Accidentally so happened that the design caught Wakabayashi's eye and was released to the world, but there is actually another side to the history of "SO-SU-U". "SO-SU-U" had already debuted and been commercialized in Wacoal 's Interior Fabric Division, where Wakisaka had worked for many years. When Wakabayashi discovered "SO-SU-U", Wacoal 's Interior Fabric Division had been closed down, so after getting permission, it was decided to once again release "SO-SU-U" to the world, produced by Wakabayashi.

"SO-SU-U" has become synonymous with SOU・SOU, and is used on SOU・SOU shoppers and the exterior walls of the stores. It is a Textile design that people all over the world, regardless of gender or age, will find cute.
