"Special Interview"

In the tea ceremony, there is a "certificate of permission" that allows you to learn at each stage of training. It is not a certificate of completion or a license, but it is like a qualification. I received the "tea name" (tea name is the permission to learn the secrets of the tea ceremony from the head of the school).Kikoromo Shop Manager Asuka IshidaWhen,Yoko Homma Shop Manager Isemomen CottonInterview with.
"The thought that enters into that path is the only mentor who is myself"
We asked her what inspired her to start learning tea ceremony and what she finds interesting about it!
You both have been learning the tea ceremony for a long time. What made you start?
IshidaThis year marks the 13th year. It all started when the "SOU・SOU Shitsurai" opened on the second floor of the current SOU・SOU Kikoromo, and the staff were asked to make matcha tea. So I started going to learn.
Originally, I was from Uji, a place famous for tea, and I had always wanted to learn the tea ceremony. I couldn't take the first step, but my work gave me the opportunity to start at just the right time.
HonmaIt all started with SOU・SOU. In my case, I joined the company after SOU・SOU Shitsurai opened, so Wakabayashi-san told me at the interview, "I'll have you do the tea ceremony." I had wanted to try it too, so I started learning right away. I was taught by senior staff for a year after joining the company, and then I started attending my current class. It's been about 12 years since I started.

What is the appeal and fun of the tea ceremony?
IshidaAside from being a traditional Japanese tradition, the appeal of tea ceremony is that you can feel the seasons through various things, such as the utensils, scrolls, and flowers. It is also interesting to express the "anticipation" or "remaining" of the season. For example, in a tea ceremony at the end of summer, you can use utensils to linger a little on the last days of summer, or incorporate autumn items to get ahead of the season. It is interesting to see the unique ideas about the seasons that are unique to Japan.
HonmaI also like the atmosphere when I go to tea ceremony lessons. To be honest, at first I felt a bit like I was being forced to do it, but I always feel so refreshed when I leave after the lesson. Like I'm purified. It's nice to be able to leave every time thinking, "I'm glad I came to the lesson today." I think that's probably what's connected to me now.

Since taking tea lessons, have you noticed any changes in yourself or gained any benefits?
IshidaI am always watching the movements of those around me, so I can use this knowledge in my work when serving customers. In the tea ceremony, there are basically no wasted movements. For example, you move because the next person will move like this. You move without wasting time while thinking about others. I have become more conscious of such things. There are ways of moving, not only for the host but also for the guests. It is a learning experience to see how people move in a team and are considerate of each other.
HonmaI always think there is no waste. And then there's the etiquette. When you're holding something, you line up your fingers, and when you open a door, you don't make too much noise. During the tea ceremony, you turn in a direction that hides your bottom so that the guest doesn't see something that is considered dirty. Even those little things are put to good use.
There are many things that can be applied to everyday life. So, have you ever had any difficulties?
HonmaI'm an early riser (laughs). On tea ceremony days, we gather at 8am, and if I have to wear Kimono, I have to get up at 5am. It's still dark in the winter. I also have to sit upright. I'm still not used to sitting for long periods of time.
IshidaMaybe it's because of the humidity, but sometimes I feel numb. Also, the lessons change with the seasons, so it's hard to remember the tea ceremony. The basic movements flow naturally, but just when I think I'm getting used to it, the tea ceremony changes, so I have to start from scratch every time. My teacher continues to teach me patiently, which makes me feel bad. It would be great if I could understand it just by doing it naturally.

Do you have any advice for people who are interested in tea ceremony but have never tried it before?
IshidaI think that tea ceremony and other ◯◯ ways seem very heavy. I think it's quite difficult to get into, but once you get in, it's no problem. It's all about the courage to take that first step. For Urasenke, it's easy to Melody on the Urasenke.com website, so you can choose the place and time you want to go and contact them from there. If you visit and feel that it's not quite right, you can just go somewhere else, and I think it's easier to get into than you might think.
HonmaI also recommend cultural centers, which are relaxed and have a lot of friendly teachers, so if you're interested, I encourage you to give it a try.
Do you have any advice for people who have never even been to a tea party?
HonmaIf you think a tea ceremony or lesson is too difficult, it's good to go to a tea room that is used for an event. There are occasional tea ceremonies that you can enter casually, so I recommend starting from there. It's okay if you don't know how to turn the tea bowl or do other things. Once you get used to it, try looking at the tools, flowers, and hanging scrolls. Hanging scrolls are very important because they help you understand the purpose of the tea ceremony. But I can't read them (laughs). Even if you can't enjoy everything from the beginning, you can look and listen a little at a time and start from wherever you like, which is one of the good things about tea ceremony.
Since you have both been named after tea chants, please tell us the names of the tea chants you both use.
HonmaMy name is "Soyo" which is one character from my given name. Most people start with the first character of their given name.
IshidaMy name is "Souka" taken from the "ka" in Asuka. I asked if I could use it. When I asked a friend which of the three characters of Asuka he liked best, he told me that when he thought of me, the word "Furokanbashi" came to mind. So I asked if I could use "ka".

HonmaIt usually takes about 8 years to get a tea ceremony name, and my teacher asked me, "You can get a tea ceremony name, but what will you do?" I wondered if it was okay to get it. That was my biggest reaction. But for me, it felt like a switch had been flipped on after I got my tea ceremony name. I wanted to know more about tea ceremony. My awareness Transition and I wanted to participate and help out at tea ceremonies more actively than before.
IshidaI didn't really think about it that much either, and thought I didn't need a license beyond the tea ceremony certification. But when I saw that our Shop Manager Homma, had acquired a tea ceremony certification, my feelings Transition. I was able to hold tea ceremonies with other people who had also acquired a tea ceremony certification, and now I think it was a good thing that I got it.
The original "SOU・SOU Shitsurai" has since moved to become "SOU・SOU Zaikama." It's currently closed, but how do you feel looking back on SOU・SOU Zaikama?
IshidaIt was really fun. We served Japanese sweets (Textile designs that became Japanese sweets) based on Textile designs announced each month, along with matcha and coffee. Not only the customers, but also the staff were excited to see what this month's sweets would be.
HonmaI looked forward to it every month! It came as Set with a postcard featuring the Textile design.

IshidaYes, it was. It was also delicious. For example, the pistachio-flavored Greyish Green Mochi. I still remember it. Kameya Yoshinaga who worked with us on creating Japanese sweets, also made it into a product. Even now, no one does matcha tea with Japanese sweets that are made from Textile. I'm glad I was able to be involved in that.
HonmaThe tea ceremony is held at a very close distance. The matcha is made in an original way that is tailored to the restaurant. Some customers were taking videos, and I think the customers enjoyed it. From the staff's perspective, my hands were shaking and I was nervous.
IshidaI also like matcha, but I was really nervous about coffee. The iced coffee machine. You pour it in from the top and it gets cold while you're rolling it around. Speaking of mistakes, I once got covered in powder when making hot coffee (laughs). I think it's great that we had that kind of spacious atmosphere, which I don't think we could have now.
Finally, a message to everyone reading this!
IshidaI want to tell everyone that coffee is good, but matcha is good too. Western food is good, but Japanese food is good too.
HonmaYou can learn a lot from the tea ceremony. It's impossible to learn everything at once, so if there's one thing you're interested in, you should hone that. Enjoy the sweets, and then you'll start to think, "Oh, the utensils were cute, too." I think it'll lead to a lot of connections.

Thank you!

"Special Interview"

He is a member of the Yasaka Shrine Gion Shishimai Preservation Society and participates as a dancer.Net Shop Director Yadera (hereinafter referred to as Yadera)Kikoromo Shop Manager Asuka Ishida (hereinafter Ishida)We asked him about the activities of Gion Shishimai and what inspired him to start them. We also asked him about his thoughts on carrying on the tradition beyond the boundaries of his company.

Thank you for your hard work at the Gion Festival Lion Dance Offering Ceremony!
Yadera IshidaIs cheers for good work.
You've been with the Gion Shishimai Preservation Society for 10 years now! That's a long time! What made you start?
YaderaIt all started when I happened to come across a lion dance offering ceremony at Yasaka Shrine. I just thought it was so cool and fell in love with it (laughs). So I called to say I wanted to participate.
It was love at first sight! I've been Shop Manager Asuka for about a year now. What made you decide?
IshidaWhen Shishimai started coming to SOU・SOU, I fell in love at first sight too (laughs).
I thought it was cool and that it would be great to have an event that would make everyone Smile Faces. I was attracted to Smile Faces of not only the customers, but also the people who were doing it, including Yadera-san. When I saw how everyone was happy during the lively Kamikami time afterwards, I felt even more encouraged to give it a try.
First of all, what kind of activities does Gion Shishimai carry out?
YaderaTheir main activity is the dedication ceremonies for the Gion Festival. Incidentally, lion dancing is also depicted in the Heian Era picture scroll "Annual Events Picture Scroll" from 1,200 years ago.
What we do at SOU・SOU is quite unusual, but I think it is meaningful to let many people know about us. I would be happy if even one person thinks it was good to come to Kyoto and good to come to Japan.

What is the appeal of Gion Lion Dance?
YaderaIts charm is that it has a specific form. There are only a few lion dances in Japan that have a specific dance form. The form of Gion lion dance was created by Living National Treasure Shigeyama Sennojo. It originally came from Kyogen. I also like how dignified and Kyoto-esque it is.
What about Shop Manager Asuka? What's the appeal and what's fun about what you do?
IshidaIt really draws people together. That's what I find so appealing about lion dancing. Just the presence of a lion dance draws everyone together. I feel a mysterious power. Children, adults, and people from overseas all become happy. It's not just about watching, there are also actual bites, so everyone can participate.
YaderaYes Yes.
IshidaAlso, during the flower umbrella parade at festivals, I feel like the distance between the performers and the audience is closer. Shishimai are allowed to move quite freely, and actually bite the audience to interact with them. I think that's something the audience can enjoy.

Do you ever feel like it's tough or difficult?
YaderaI guess it's balancing with work. I do have the freedom to do it (laughs). Is it tough for you, Shop Manager Asuka?
IshidaFor me, it's the position rather than the fatigue. Two people perform the lion dance, and the person on the back leg has to bend their waist 90 degrees, which puts a lot of strain on the back, and the person in front has to use their grip to squeeze the string to close the lion's mouth, and it's heavy. At first, I couldn't hold it. I gradually got used to it, but at first, my body hurt.
YaderaAlso, Asuka, Shop Manager, comes right after work to "run in and fill up the place," so it must be hard to go in right away. We start by warming up our feet, but if we go in right after work, we don't even have to do any warm-up exercises.
IshidaAnother difficult thing is that once you go inside, you lose your sense of direction.
YaderaDuring SOU・SOU, the two of you got lost.
IshidaThe location was different from usual, and it was my third time at SOU・SOU, so I wasn't used to it at all and lost my sense of direction.
YaderaI've always had a bad sense of direction (laughs). We both lost our sense of direction and ended up going astray, but it worked out just fine.
Gion Lion Dance has a history of 1200 years. What does it mean to you two to support the activity of Lion Dance?
YaderaThey say it's been around for 1200 years, but I've heard it was interrupted for a long time. It's unclear when it first began, and it's unclear how long it lasted. The current preservation society was started by the current organizer, Mr. Endo, and others about 50 years ago.
We are working with the desire to help preserve even a little of this tradition so that it will not be lost again.

Lion dances are said to bring blessings such as warding off epidemics and improving academic performance.
YaderaI have heard that the original purpose of the Gion Lion Dance is to ward off evil spirits before the portable shrine passes by, so that the god riding on it can walk along a pure path.
In that sense, I would be happy if people could understand that lion dancing is a part of the Gion Festival. I hope that as we continue, new members will join and it will continue. Our predecessors have continued it for a long time, so we want to keep it going.
IshidaIf someone doesn't do it, it won't continue. And when someone says it's me, then it's me. I've always wanted to be involved in something traditional as a Japanese person. But I felt like it was quite difficult to get into, and then Yadera-san opened the door for me. I've been able to make connections with people who I think I can do something with, so I want to treasure that.
Finally, a message to everyone!
IshidaI want everyone to see the lion dance live, and feel the power of the people who gather together. I think that when people gather together, energy is born.
YaderaPlease come and get bitten!
Thank you very much!

"I can't let go of it ..."
Q "What are you using every day!"
A: Tenugui Handkerchief. I use them 365 days a year.
I will feel restless if I forget it. .
Q How many pieces do you have?
A I think I have 2 months worth of daily change.
There are at least 50 or more.
Q: What was your first Handkerchief?
A " Marbles " and "sweets" that I bought before joining the company,
These two pieces are used without loss.
It is also very active in travel. Even after more than 13 years,
It is a favorite design without exception!
Q: People enjoy Handkerchief in different ways,
Is there any special usage of the Seno Shop Manager?
A I usually use it instead of a handkerchief, and I wear my neck for summer bicycle commuting.
In fact, I do not use it so stylishly.
I'm sure there are many people who make better use of Handkerchief than I do.
But it's true that we spend more time with Handkerchief in our hands than with our smartphones.
Q: Why did you start using Handkerchief so much?
Up and Down any reason for this?
A Why is that? I can not let go of it somehow. .
I used to put in a hole or something dirty
I don't feel like turning it into a bed towel,
I keep using it as it is.

Obtained ten years ago
I used to wash it
For some reason, I can't throw away Handkerchief even though it has faded.
It is not so now though
Handkerchief with a pattern that I've always liked more than any other.
On the contrary, it was not so much at first
Before we know it, Handkerchief have become an indispensable travel Companions.
It is also possible to bring up something like this that tells you about your past
I think this is one of the interesting things about Handkerchief.

If you use it on the beach, it won't get caught in sand like Bath Towel If you get injured, you can tear it and use it for first aid.
I want you to get more citizenshipNatsusama
Thank you for the nice comment!
I never imagined I would end up using Handkerchief I bought on a whim before joining SOU・SOU so regularly, but now I can't let it go.
After reading Natsusama's comment, I was reminded once again how amazing Handkerchief are!

There is a comfort that is unique to natural materials.
Especially favorite is chopsticks made by Kazu Hirano.
Ms. Hirano of "Mountain Lady (Yama Oyaji)",
First I shaved chopsticks by myself, how seven years old.
If you do not have your own chopsticks yet and you use your older sister,
Ever since my grandfather was angry with his own chopsticks to shave himself,
I have been able to cut chopsticks for over 70 years.
Yoshida-san was impressed by listening to this,
He seems to have ordered custom-made chopsticks to "Mountain Lady".
These chopsticks do not overdo it neatly, leaving trees habit and distortion,
The size is slightly longer.
"Make Hirano's shaved chopsticks always made longer,
He said that he was making it possible to fine-tune the size to fit the hand later. "
This time, they also ordered chopstick covers made with SOU・SOU Textile.
When I was studying abroad in Kyoto when I was a Era
Japanese people have often praised me.
"How to use chopsticks is good-looking!"
Even though 1.4 billion people are using chopsticks around the world,
I am praised even though I am a Chinese.
I was wondering for a long time.
Four years later, while looking into Japanese everyday life,
There were some small awareness.
In China, we count chopsticks in pairs of "twins", "pairs" or "deputies".
Meanwhile, in Japan, chopsticks are counted as "one serving two servings".
Moon (osmanthus) ... Partial organs representing body organs (lungs, brains, waist, chest etc).
"Zen" with a moon (nodding).
As if a chopstick was not an inorganic "tool"
It seems to be a body organ, or a thing that fulfills a function similar to that.
The important thing is "chopsticks" which will be extended hands taught.
"Pick up the chopsticks by arranging the meat menu."
Let's get started with things getting ready.
"Take chopsticks".
Start eating. To start a job. To live.
"Attach chopsticks" "Rest your chopsticks".
Sometimes it stops suddenly, it is important to relax.
You are good at chopsticks.
I would be happy if you could praise me like this again.

People who are good at holding chopsticks are nice.
Conversely, I am sorry that no matter how beautiful women or cool men, how to use chopsticks is not good.
I will say before you take chopsticks, but the minimum manners for animals and plants that lost their lives for those who eat.
I'd like to have chopsticks well and take care of what I need.Mr. Goto Mr.
thank you for your comment!
When I Melody ``How to use chopsticks that you shouldn't do,'' I was surprised by the number of ``chopstick etiquette terms'' such as ``Nigiri-bashi,'' ``Yose-bashi,'' ``Sashibashi,'' and ``Watashi-bashi.''
Also in my home country China and Japan with the same chopsticks diet culture and in the neighboring country Korea, interest has also emerged in the material and shape of chopsticks and the way of eating meals are quite different.
The difference in how to use chopsticks is due to the history and cultural background of each country,
It is only in Japan that you put your hands together before meals and say "I will".
As Gotou says, it is a word that contains gratitude for food and gratitude to those who made it,
Actually, that is also the first Japanese I learned, I think it is very nice!

"Warmth of Wappa Warmth / Li Xi Xi"
▲ "Today my son's exit picnic lunch fare"
"I love you" Japanese translationWhat? When asked, "Mr. Sawada who answered" ochinose san ".
- What's today's treat?
"This is a hand-me-down from my son's school trip lunch," says Sawada with Grin as he opens the lid of the lunch box.
Bento box is made by bending a single sheet of cedar and hinoki <Bend Wappa>.
The material of the tree that sucks extra moisture.
Rice is hard to hurt, even if it is cold, it is a lunch box of plums plumply.
There are many things that are slim and small in size,
I like the big size I met three years ago and gifts for my wife.
Good touch, lid fit,
Even if it is made oblique, it is difficult to become a "leaning valve".
It seems that he loves enough to use it.
There seems to be a day of freshly baked carbohydrate festival for rice.
"There seems to be a day when there is not much time only once, and opening the lid, there was a day that only salmon was cooked in rice, but in my opinion
Oh, shake valve and so on! I thought that, I was happy. Mr. Sawada.
"We have basketball made everyday without leaving work day."
I hope every day.
"There are no favorite things in there, nothing special is said, but everything is happy."
I wish my wife would be happy if he said this way.
"That reminds me, on the last working day of each year, I'm writing" Noriyoshi "as an omission, this year it is December 28th.Heisei's lastI wonder if you will write "It was a great job." "

It is hard to make lunch every day. (Lol)
I thought that it was a wonderful person why both the lunch boxes and the side to eat were read.
When I make lunch, I wonder what kind of face you will face when opening the lid, or it becomes meat and blood of that person, so I definitely do not want to put bad things in my body.
I might as well learn a wife and write a message. Well, it is not deftly enough to make use of seaweed in such ways.Mr. Goto Mr.
Comment Thank you very much!
Sawada seems to be a principle that can not open the lid of the lunch box until lunch time.
And I also said that the annual "hospitable experience" was not so beautiful <seaweed character>.
Up and Down chopping up some seaweed and writing a message in Katakana on it?
Gentoo's thoughtfully making lunch will surely warm heart!
Everyone believes that their hearts look forward by eating someone's cooking.

"Now, let's write / Li Xi Xi"
▲Hashimoto-san writing Letter Pad to accompany a gift (※In this section, all staff members who were interviewed are referred to with the honorific "san")
Remove Cap from Fountain Pen and attach it to the back.
Run the pen nibbling and write it all at once.
Yoshi's sister's "Ku-chan" is sent to the general
Hashimoto adds a note to Zodiac Handkerchief delivered.
When sent out, the Fountain Pen finishes its role.
Both the pen and Letter Pad are Tamayura's life.
However, that thin Letter Pad
By one word I wrote carelessly
It was hesitant sentiments of people.
The supporting Fountain Pen that wrote that feeling,
I felt it stylish and beautiful without a leading role.
The moment I pressed the shutter,
I could picture Grin on "Kuu-chan's face" as she opened her mail, even though I'd never met her.
When I asked to see Mr. Hashimoto's Pencil Case,
I picked out some of them and arranged them by purpose.
From the right
· Schedule management <Pen to erase>
· When filling out invoices and copying-type slips, use them so that the third one is dark and beautiful <Ballpoint pen>
・ Enjoy the taste of writing for letters and thank-you notes <Fountain Pen>
· Used when writing letters as part of design <magic pen> <brush pen> etc.
"For example, I express momentum with the pen pen's penguin in the title of" Winter's Kabukimono "or use magic pens for package designs of Japanese sweets, etc. and make cuteness with mellow touch. When writing it becomes part of the design, I am particularly conscious of using different pens. "
Mr. Hashimoto of a cheerful body talked with lightly.
There is shaking that only people who believe in the possibilities of paper and pen have.
Even in the same sentence as the mail, feeling value worth doing one by just handwriting.
Because digital communication is Era norm
Perhaps it feels a special feeling to the feel of handwriting.
Handwriting that was commonplace for us in an Era without smartphones.
Paper, as well as time and light, will degrade rags.
Characters that I wrote there are changing, disappearing and disappearing.
Friend not to digital is also the taste of letters.
And I think that there is a lingering finish, value, taste of "Human Work".
"Handwritten letters have warmth."
I didn't need to be told, I immediately understood when I saw Hashimoto's Letter Pad.
Let's write.

"Repair shop Okka's wooden dove / Li Xi Xi"
▲ Nakaoka (Okker) who is focusing on heel rubber repair
I like to wear it long while repairing the sole.
With this in mind, some customers come to SOU・SOU to request repairs to the soles of their Tabi Shoes.
I am in charge of that"Okker".
The one used is Shoe GOO which is commercially available.
Also, the attached "wood belle".
- How do you repair?
"① Carefully remove dirt;
② Fill the worn out part with Shoe GOO;
③ Make it familiar with the attached wood belle;
④ Dry overnight, ready!
It is a modest work, but I fixed it a pair of pairs,
When completed it is exaggerated to say a sense of accomplishment, but I am still happy. "
Looking into the toolbox of Okker, it is surprisingly simple.
The spat will be replaced when it gets used up and becomes useless.
The box Accidentally happened to be the right size.
"I'm not a shoe repair professional, but I would like to respond to customers who want to wear their favorite Tabi Shoes even after repairing their worn heels. Use this wooden spatula."
Transition to think of it as a repair tool.
People who wear their own Tabi Shoes are cool.
Footwear that I have used for a long while using it is packed with memories with that person.
Even the worn out Tabi Shoes may be able to walk with you.
Cherishes Tabi Shoes If you wait too long and worn is, until Ocker's come tabi repair shop.
I will paint using the usual wooden bella.*This service has now ended.

"Although casual, beautiful / Li Xi Xi"
▲ Newly jewelry once a year
Choosing clothes every morning is the basis of life,
We are also doing everything to choose accessories and jewelry accordingly.
Accessories that you can see glaringly in model pictures
I always been interested, so I tried asking!
"Please show me the point when choosing accessories."
・Japanese designer
For some reason I always place a glance at Japanese designers.
That "non-decorative"
I am attracted to the work of "pulling" the decorative elements of jewelry.
・Shape is round or straight
The shapes such as △, \, ◯ have good familiarity.
I like the clear and clear geometric pattern,
Flowing delicate curves are also beautiful,
I think attractive simple straight lines without waste.
・A piece a year, buying a jewelry reward
The point is "not decorate too much".
The accessory is a feeling that exists behind his own diagonal,
Things that will support myself.
And choose only one item a year.
Once a yearoverseas tripIt looks like something (laugh).
<Accessories> and <Jewelry> of ornaments which finish fashionable.
Never decorate it,
Such as to complement that person 's charm "casually"
It is good that gently closes together.
And above all,
I thought that it is important to understand the charm of ourselves.

"Brooms at 10:30 in the morning / Li Xi Xi"
▲ Today from here
"Well! President, are you cleaning up?" Wakabayashi was surprised at Mr. Wakabayashi on his first day joining the company.
"I will do it."
"Well! From when?" There is a memory that questioned without crazy.
"Remember, but over ten years will pass ..."
It has been 3 and a half since then. Last time I heard that chance.
"Everyone does cleaning in the morning, but the staff mainly clean the shops and indoors, so I wonder if the staff will clean the streets and around."
When I pointed out that the area around SOU・SOU was pretty clean and not dirty enough to need cleaning,
"Actually, in recent years a new law has been enacted that prohibits smoking on the street. A fine system has been put in place. Before that, the place was littered with cigarette butts every morning. This road is a backstreet, but for SOU・SOU it's the main street where customers come. That's why we just remove any cigarettes, empty cans, fallen leaves, and other small pieces of trash."
Oh, that's right. .
Wakabayashi says that the amount of litter on the main street of SOU・SOU has decreased only thanks to the fine system, but wouldn't it be the case that once people started cleaning up the outside area, no one would start littering anymore?
Cleaning is like telepathy. I thought that it was transmitted.
A broom at 10:30 in the morning,
When I see it, I feel calm.
If there is a calm moment several times in a day or not
I feel that life will be different as well.

Applaud to the ZEN spirit and Leadership integration!
Hello Maria,
thank you for your comment.
As much as we devised cleaning, I feel like the time increases gently.
I think that "every important thing is in everyday life".
Thank you for a wonderful article.
I think that there are few companies whose presidents themselves are being cleaned. I can not think from the company I work for. The president who will show me his back, the employee who can understand the feeling of that president. So your company is wonderful!Mr. Goto Mr.
thank you for your comment!
I was also surprised at first,
Before you know it, it has become a part of the morning scenery at SOU・SOU
I seem to be familiar.
Looking back at the daily routine every morning, you can make flowers blossom everyday.

Even at this age, I have not made any progress on my "path," so I am once again impressed by how amazing it is that you two have "continued" on that "path."
I really hope they revive "SOU・SOU Zaikama" and let the two of you and other SOU•SOU tea masters experience the "spirit of SOU•SOU tea" (^^)
kazu-endlix
Thank you very much for your comment. When I say "path", I mean a winding path where I always forget to prepare the tea and go back and forth, but tea is a mysterious thing and I am still able to continue. It would be great if SOU・SOU Zaikan could be revived. We look forward to seeing you in our store when that happens!
Congratulations on being awarded a tea name.
I've only been learning the tea ceremony for about 6 or 7 years now, but I've set a goal for myself to become like those two.
It's difficult for people at work to understand the value of matcha and the tea ceremony, but I enjoy a relaxing moment waving Tea Whisk in the tea room.
SOU·SOU's products are something I aspire to, and although I always look at them, I would love to wear them with style one day.
I look forward to continuing to read your posts.
Dear Kay
Thank you very much for your comment.
It's so cool to see someone whisking Tea Whisk in the kitchen! I admire that. In the midst of a hectic work day, it's really important to have some time to calm down.
I wear SOU·SOU for my everyday lessons just like I do for work, and I think it's a good idea to wear simple Japanese clothing for lessons. I would be happy if you could enjoy SOU·SOU along with your tea ceremony.
