"Summer Memories! / Ishida Sayoko"

The hot weather continues, but how Up and Down you all been spending this summer?

My summer begins on July 1st with the Gion Festival, which runs for a month and features a variety of events.

Among them, the one I like the most and look forward to is the Yamahokotate festival, which starts on the 10th.

And on the 17th, you can see the live children at the Yamahoko Junko.

In August, my family and I went to the Lake Biwa Fireworks Festival, which is an annual event that we look forward to.

Although it happens every year, I feel a different emotion every time.


During the Obon holidays, I took a day off and went to Toyooka city, Hyogo prefecture to eat Izushi soba.


We enjoyed each dish with a variety of condiments, and it was a very satisfying day.


On the way home, I also bought some black bean edamame from Tamba, which I enjoyed with some beer at home.

I hope to have a different summer next year.
