“1st Kintsugi Experimental Festival / Kayoko Seno”
For the past few years, every time I've returned to my parents' house, I've noticed chipped or cracked dishes.
And every time I saw it, I thought, ``I want to repair it beautifully with Kintsugi!''
I just thought about it but hadn't put it into action, but I thought, ``New year is the perfect time to start something new!''
I finally got around to it the other day.
This time, I chose a curry plate that I had used since I was a child from among the many chipped dishes (left: cracked, right: chipped)
However, I just wanted to do it and had almost no knowledge, so
I was thinking about finding a classroom where I could teach, but then I was like, ``Oh, by the way, before.Mr. Naganuma has finally succeeded in Kintsugi.I was asked to become a teacher.
The teacher named it “Kintsugi Experimental Festival”
The name 'experiment' makes me feel a little uneasy, but...

First, Mr. Naganuma will mix the lacquer to apply to the cracked area.
Apply Masking Tape near the chips and cracks to prevent the lacquer from staining other areas.

Lacquer is applied seriously and carefully to each tableware.
It was a more time-consuming process than I expected.
Just when you think it's perfect, the teacher makes some changes.
That's all for today.
Once the lacquer has dried successfully, the next step will begin at a later date.
Place a wet Handkerchief between them to maintain humidity and store in Stackstowe.

Let's enjoy the 2nd Kintsugi Experiment Festival!
I hope it goes well!

I also want to learn from Naganuma Sensei! !
SOU・SOU Master…
I'm a ``shoddy'' person who thinks it's a waste to avoid lacquer on other parts...^^;
No no... this is "mood ↑↑"... ^^;
I’m really looking forward to the next one! ! ! (´ω`)

Thank you for your comment.
"Mr. Naganuma's" experiment festival was quite interesting.
There were times when I couldn't use the mask because I thought it was a waste.
As expected, seeing my favorite Textile really lifts my spirits!
OR Manekineko would also love to see you (^^)
