"Lines and Dots 2006"
Drawing polka dots in a circle and filling in the space drawing a stripe.
Unconsciously while living in a foreign country
I am thinking about my identity and roots.
I also have a feeling for Japan. It seems that it came out unexpectedly.
I want to leave what I want to leave when I get out of stock
There was a strong feeling that I wanted to make it.
(Katsuji Wakisaka)
There is a taste that can be seen all the time without claiming, and it gives a completely different impression depending on the color scheme.
As Wakisaka says, the fact that the designs are made up of traditional Japanese Pattern such as stripes and polka dots may also be a reason for their appeal.
Another pattern that is increasing recently is "Masu".
At first, I didn't think about it at all, but I was gradually obsessed with its charm, and now I'm wearing Tabi Tabi Shoes in the 2nd and 3rd generations in rotation.
The handwriting can be seen even in the simplicity, and when I look at it as a whole, it feels like a fluctuation, I analyze why it is not tired.
When I wear a Textile design that I like, I feel a sense of relief and at the same time, a secret Joy.
I feel Happiness that these talisman-like Textile designs accompany me every day.

Four years ago, the first sousou product I bought was a Chizimi Cotton Chijimi dress Lines and Dots a sewn One-piece Dress. I wore it so much that I washed it so much that it was completely worn out, but I just couldn't bring myself to throw it away, so I hand-sewed the edges and use them as simple pillowcases. All of sousou's Textile are so beautiful that I can't choose, but I've come to love Wakisaka-san's heartfelt designs even more.

thank you for your comment!
It's hard to throw away your favorite Textile, even when they're worn out.
Good idea for pillowcase! The familiar fabric looks good.
I also enjoy reading concept documents for Textile designs because it helps me understand them better and feel more attached to them.
