"Family Festival / Saruwatari Tsugumi"
It's a new year, and the busyness of the New Year's holidays has calmed down.
Thank you for your continued support this year.
Now, on a personal note, I'd like to share some New Year's memories.
Our annual visit to my paternal grandmother's house was not held over the first three days of the New Year as we usually do, but instead took place the week after New Year as my grandfather's memorial service was being held there and the whole family would gather there.
It seems like there has been relatively little snowfall this winter, but even the prized garden of my grandmother's house in Gifu was covered in a thin layer of snow.
The photo shows a nearby temple and the window design of a building in one corner of it.
Everyone, including me who loves plant designs and the scent of cypress, was excited about the architecture of the temple. As always, we had dinner in the evening and talked until late into the night.
The next day, our family of four went to Ochobosan Shrine for our first visit of the year.
While praying, I came across something called a "age candle" on my path to the shrine and was drawn to it, so I picked it up.
The words were "age" and "roso".
I thought for sure it meant "to give".
This is because the deities worshipped at this "Chiyoho Inari Shrine" are Omioya no Okami, Inari no Okami,
Inari is the ancestral deity, and there are Inari shrines everywhere.
The atmosphere was so lively that you could feel the energy of prosperity in all directions, and in the shopping district around Ochobo-san, shops selling the famous kushikatsu and other items seemed to be thriving.
This is an area where river fish are commonly caught, and we also enjoyed the delicious Hitsumabushi, making it a very enjoyable homecoming.
There were so many people that I couldn't take a full-body photo...
On the day, I visited the shrine wearing one of my recent favorite outfits!
Muslin Wool Boa Infinity Scarf*Items with the same pattern are currently sold out.
Kimono Sleeve Coat with Lining*The exact same item is currently sold out.

We hope you all stay warm and cozy in your favorite winter outfits!
