"Tea Diary / Hiroko Chiba"
Hi, this is Chiba from Chiba.
For some reason, I had a sudden urge to wear Yukata for Tanabata this year, so I wore Yukata to a lesson around Tanabata.
During that time, my teacher told me that "there is a tea ceremony held at the Kikusui Hoko float during the Gion Festival," so I thought to myself, "I want to go!" and off I went.
The event lasted for 4 days. It was open until 9pm, so you could come after work.
Also, it seems that the style of tea ceremony varies depending on the day. On the day I went, the tea ceremony was from the Urasenke school.
Since the lessons were from the Omotesenke school, I was fascinated by the subtle differences in the way the tea ceremony was performed.
You can also take home the plate on which you received the sweets.
Apparently the color changes every year! You'll want to collect them all!
It has been introduced in the past, so please check it out.Click herePlease see.
