"Mountaintop Museum/Anri Torikai"
Hello everyone, this is Torikai from the Planning Department.
We had Golden Week in May, Up and Down your time?
I am a midsummer day in May.
I went to the Garden Museum Hiei at the top of Mount Hiei.
As a garden museum, the garden is surrounded by seasonal flowers.
There are many Ceramic Tile reproductions of paintings by Monet, Renoir, Van Gogh, and others on display outdoors.
The park is located on the top of a mountain at an altitude of 840m, so there are spectacular views of Lake Biwa, Kyoto, and Osaka from the park.
And it was 4-5°C cooler than in the city.
The natural scenery that the artist loved is reproduced here and there,
The Water Lily Garden features a lily pond inspired by Monet's masterpiece.
You can enjoy the artworks as if you were inside the world of the paintings.
And early May was the best time to see the blue flowers, nemophila.
The fresh breeze and the nemophila blooming all around were so pleasant that I couldn't help but take a deep breath...
The summit of Mt. Hiei is under a clear blue sky.
You can enjoy the beautiful works of impressionist painters surrounded by nature.
I had a great time.

Paintings in nature are wonderful.
Even though it's just a photo, it captures such a wonderful scene and makes us feel happy too.
Thank you very much.

Although it's just a photo, I'm glad I was able to share it with you!
