The shrine is a wonderful harmony space of nature and architecture surrounded by forest.

The trees of Tadasunomori Shimogamo Shrine stretch powerfully towards the sky like the pillars of a cathedral.

The light rising in the morning from the peak of Higashiyama and the sign that surely exists there even if the night is hardly visible.




If there is a tree that feels great, there are trees that afflict people.
It is cedar pollen. (I think it was very long this year ....)

I learned about wood at the Takenaka Carpentry Tools Museum in Kobe. There were many different types of wood on display, and I learned a lot about the history of traditional tools used to process wood!


Once a week, there are a lot of wooden utensils in the tea ceremony and there is also a good smell of charcoal.


One day, when I went cycling to the mountains of Kyoto, I saw the last year's typhoon scars ....
There were really many trees falling down.


I want to cherish trees and use them a lot.
